#44 TEAM BUSY WITH SOUTHERN NATIONALS!
July 24, 2010 - Chris Madden and his #44 team wrapped up the Southern Nationals Series tonight at the bad-fast Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, Tennessee. Chris laid down the quickest lap during qualifying at the "Taz" and later started the $5,300 to win feature event from the pole position. After leading the first forty-one circuits of the A-Main, Chris and Jonathan Davenport waged a tremendous battle for the top spot for the remainder of the race. Unfortunately, "Smokey" had trouble disposing of a lapped car in the waning laps and finished second behind Davenport in the 53-lapper.
July 23, 2010 - The Chris Madden Racing (CMR) team tackled the high-banks of the Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee tonight for a $5,300 to win Southern Nationals Series event. Chris Madden timed in eighth fastest in qualifying, which earned him the outside fourth row starting spot in the 53-lap A-Main. During the feature at "The Gap," Chris worked his #44 Team Zero entry past six competitors en route to a stellar second place finish behind only winner Jonathan Davenport.
July 22, 2010 - Chris Madden was back in action tonight at the historic Cleveland Speedway in Cleveland, Tennessee for a $3,500 to win Southern Nationals Series showdown. Chris timed in fifth quickest in qualifying, which locked him into the inside third row starting spot in the 35-lap main event. "Smokey" moved up to the second position and battled Clint Smith for the win late in the race, but could not pull off the winning pass and settled for a strong runner-up effort.
July 21, 2010 - The #44 team WILL NOT be in competition tonight at the Swainsboro Raceway in Swainsboro, Georgia. Their next event will be on July 22 at the Cleveland Speedway in Cleveland, Tennessee!
July 20, 2010 - The Chris Madden Racing (CMR) team invaded the East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Alabama tonight for a $3,500 to win Southern Nationals Series showdown. Chris Madden timed in ninth fastest in qualifying, which earned him the inside fifth row starting spot in the 35-lap main event. Chris charged to the front of the field and picked off seven competitors en route to a solid runner-up performance behind winner Jonathan Davenport.
July 18, 2010 - Chris Madden and his #44 team were back in action tonight at the Rome Speedway in Rome, Georgia. The Southern Nationals Series made their debut at the northern Georgia facility and a $5,300 payday was up for grabs. Chris laid down the third quickest lap during qualifying and later rolled off from the inside of the second row in the 53-lap main event. "Smokey" grabbed the top spot on lap five and drove to an impressive victory over Jonathan Davenport, Shane Clanton, Tommy Kerr, and Clint Smith!

July 5, 2010 - The Chris Madden Racing (CMR) team scored their third victory of the 2010 racing season on Friday night, July 2 at the Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Virginia! The Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series (SAS) rolled into town on Friday to sanction their first-ever show at the 1/2-mile venue. Chris Madden laid down the fastest lap in SAS qualifying and later led all fifty laps of the main event from his pole position. "Smokey" took the checkered flag and the $5,000 payday over Chris Wall, Brandon Kinzer, Shannon Buckingham, and Kenny Compton, Jr.
On Saturday evening, July 3, the dirt-slinging action turned to the Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, South Carolina for a $4,000 to win Southern All Stars Dirt Racing East Series (SAS-East) showdown. Chris was looking to sweep the 4th of July holiday weekend, but settled for a strong third place performance in the A-Main behind winner Casey Roberts and runner-up Jim Rasey. In a last minute decision, Chris also drove a Crate Late Model to a second place effort at Cherokee on Saturday. June 28, 2010 - Chris Madden and his #44 Dirt Late Model team entered a pair of high-profile Southern All Stars Dirt Racing East Series (SAS-East) events over the June 25-26 weekend in South Carolina. On Friday night, the Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, South Carolina played host to the $7,000 to win 'Grassy Smith Memorial' and Chris wound up tenth in the final rundown of the storied race. The I-77 Speedway in Chester, South Carolina wrapped up the doubleheader weekend for the CMR team on Saturday evening with a $6,000 to win SAS-East showdown. MADDEN POSTS PAIR OF RUNNER-UP FINISHES!
June 21, 2010 - The Chris Madden Racing (CMR) team enjoyed a very strong weekend (June 17-19) in the Volunteer State of Tennessee with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series! On Thursday night at the historic Cleveland Speedway in Cleveland, Tennessee, Chris Madden qualified well and later won his heat race to earn the third starting position in the $10,000 to win main event. Chris was a mainstay towards the front of the field during the 50-lapper and wound up a strong second in the final rundown behind winner Jimmy Owens.
The dirt-slinging action quickly turned to the ultra-fast Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee on Friday and Saturday for two more $10,000 to win showdowns. On Friday evening at "The Gap," Chris ran fourth in heat race action and later passed five competitors in the 50-lap A-Main to record a tenth place performance. At Bulls Gap on Saturday, "Smokey" finished third in his stacked heat race prior to working his way past six cars in the $10,000 to win 'Scorcher' finale to score another runner-up effort behind winner Scott Bloomquist.
