April 25, 2016 - Chris Madden and his #44 CMR team's 2016 win total now stands at seven following a weekend sweep in the Peach State of Georgia, which netted them another $10,000 in winnings! On Saturday, April 23 at Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Georgia, Chris set Fast Time in Old Man's Garage Spring Nationals Series qualifying prior to winning the fast dash. After starting the 50-lapper from the pole position and leading the first 29 circuits, Chris tracked down and passed Shane Clanton on the final lap to garner the $6,000 payday in exciting fashion over Clanton, Tyler Millwood, Brandon Overton, and Donald McIntosh!
On Sunday, April 24, Rome Speedway in Rome, Georgia took center stage by hosting the annual running of the 'Rome Rumble,' which was sanctioned by the Ultimate Super Late Model Series. Chris timed in second quickest during the qualifying session and later led all forty laps in the main event from the outside of the front row. At the checkers, the Gray Court, South Carolina star took home the $4,000 top prize over Shane Clanton, Brandon Overton, Mike Marlar, and Casey Roberts! CHRIS CASHES $10,000 IN SPRING THAW!!!
April 17, 2016 - The #44 team was in the pit area over the April 15-16 weekend at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee, as the Old Man's Garage Spring Nationals tour sanctioned the annual running of the 'Spring Thaw.' On Friday night in the $4,000 to win weekend opener, Chris Madden laid down the quickest lap in Group B during the qualifying session and later started the 40-lap main event from the outside of the front row. After pacing the field for the first 22 circuits, Chris unfortunately got into a slowing lapped car and brought out the caution, which ultimately dropped him to a disappointing thirteenth place performance.
At "The Gap" on Saturday evening, Chris rebounded in a big way to score his fifth feature win of the young 2016 racing season! After timing in second quickest in Group B and winning his heat race, Chris took the lead from Dale McDowell on lap 24 and dominated the remainder of the event. The Gray Court, South Carolina star was ahead of Mike Marlar, Dale McDowell, Rick Eckert, and Donald McIntosh on the 60th and final circuit to record the $10,000 windfall! MADDEN WINS $10,000 LUCAS STOP AT BOYD'S!
April 3, 2016 - Chris Madden tackled a huge Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series doubleheader on April 1-2 and emerged victorious in a $10,000 to win showdown on Friday night at Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia! Chris laid down the quickest lap in Group B during the time trial session prior to picking up the win in heat race action. After starting the 50-lap headliner from the outside of the front row, Chris led each and every circuit of the A-Main to claim the $10,000 windfall ahead of Randy Weaver, Jared Landers, Jonathan Davenport, and Scott Bloomquist!
On Saturday evening at the historic East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Alabama, the annual running of the 'Bama Bash' was held and a $12,000 payday was on the line. Chris posted the third fastest time overall during LOLMDS qualifying and later placed second in his loaded heat race. After rolling off from the outside of the third row in the 60-lap feature, the Gray Court, South Carolina star was up to second in the running order before experiencing troubles and ultimately retiring in the seventeenth position. March 27, 2016 - Chris Madden Racing (CMR) traveled to Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Georgia on March 25-26 for a huge Old Man's Garage Spring Nationals Series doubleheader, which kicked off on Friday night with a $4,000 to win shootout. Chris Madden clicked off a New Track Record during qualifying prior to picking up the win in the fast dash. After starting the 40-lap feature event from the pole position and leading laps 1-11 and 17-25, Chris finished a strong runner-up behind only victor Jonathan Davenport. Saturday's weekend finale at Senoia Raceway, which was scheduled to pay $6,000 to the winner, was unfortunately washed out by rain early in the afternoon. March 20, 2016 - Chris Madden and his #44 CMR team rolled into Lancaster Speedway in Lancaster, South Carolina on Saturday night, March 19 for a $5,000 to win Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series tilt. Chris laid down the fastest lap of the seventeen competitors during qualifying, which was also quick enough to establish a New Track Record. After starting the main event from the pole position and leading the first 27 circuits, Chris unfortunately ran into mechanical woes and was forced to retire from the attrition-filled race. March 7, 2016 - Chris Madden and his #44 CMR team swept the annual 'March Madness' weekend at the nearby Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, South Carolina on March 5-6 to claim their first two feature wins of the young 2016 racing season! On Saturday afternoon, Chris laid down the quickest lap of the 17 competitors during Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series (SAS) qualifying and later led all 35 circuits of the main event. Chris pocketed the $3,000 top prize by beating Brandon Overton, Johnny Pursley, Ross Bailes, and Brett Hamm to the checkered flag!
On Sunday afternoon, a strong field of 22 SAS combatants converged on Cherokee Speedway for the 'March Madness' finale. Chris once again earned Fast Time honors during the qualifying session and later started the 60-lap headliner from the outside of the front row. The Gray Court, South Carolina star then dominated from flag-to-flag to secure the $10,000 winner's check over Casey Roberts, Chris Ferguson, Brandon Overton, and Ross Bailes! SUPER BOWL OF RACING NIGHTLY RESULTS
February 7, 2016 - The annual running of the Georgia Boot 'Super Bowl of Racing' wrapped up earlier this afternoon at Golden Isles (GA) Speedway with the conclusion of the finale, which boasted a hefty $15,000 winner's check. In preliminary action held last night before Mother Nature intervened, Chris Madden ran fifth in his heat race prior to taking the win in his B-Main. After rolling off from the inside of the ninth row in today's 60-lapper, Chris was able to move past six competitors on his way to a solid eleventh place showing.
February 6, 2016 - Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, Georgia opened early today for the rain-postponed 'Edwin Coggins Memorial,' which was washed out on Thursday. Chris Madden clicked off the fifth fastest lap in Group A during Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series time trials prior to finishing second in heat race action. "Smokey" then started the $7,000 to win main event from the inside of the fourth row and eventually wound up sixth in the final finishing order of the 30-lapper behind only winner Jonathan Davenport, Brian Shirley, Josh Richards, Jared Landers, and Steve Francis. The regularly scheduled 'Super Bowl of Racing' finale at GIS tonight was rained-out during preliminary action and the final B-Main and the $15,000 to win headliner have been pushed back to Sunday afternoon, February 7.
February 5, 2016 - The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series officially kicked off their 2016 racing season tonight with their first points battle of the year in the Georgia Boot 'Super Bowl of Racing' at Golden Isles (GA) Speedway and a $10,000 top prize was on the line. Chris Madden knocked down the third quickest time in Group B during qualifying and later placed second in his stacked heat race. After rolling off from the outside of the third row in the 50-lap feature event, Chris was inside of the top five early when he unfortunately broke a crank trigger. After temporarily losing power and dropping back to mid-pack, Chris was able to re-fire and proceeded to storm back to grab fifth at the checkers. The Gray Court, South Carolina star trailed only winner Josh Richards, Brandon Sheppard, Jonathan Davenport, and Jared Landers!
February 4, 2016 - Due to heavy rain, tonight's opener to the Georgia Boot 'Super Bowl of Racing' at Golden Isles Speedway near Brunswick, Georgia has been postponed until Saturday afternoon, February 6. The $7,000 to win 'Edwin Coggins Memorial' will start with hot laps at 11:00am and will proceed Saturday evening's weekend finale at GIS, which boasts a $15,000 payday.
