"SMOKEY" CLIMBS TO FOURTH IN TST PRELIM!

April 21, 2024 - Following a rain-out of Thursday's $10,000 to win World of Outlaws CASE Construction Late Model Series showdown at Thunderhill Raceway Park in Summertown, Tennessee, the #44 team followed the national tour to Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama on April 19-20 for the 'Alabama Gang 100.' Things kicked off at TST on Friday night with a split-field preliminary program. Chris Madden posted the twelfth quickest lap in Group A during the qualifying session prior to picking off eight competitors during his 25-lapper to finish fourth behind only $4,000 victor Dylan Knowles, Brandon Overton, and Trey Mills.

On Saturday evening with a $35,000 top prize on the line in the 'Alabama Gang 100' finale, Chris knocked down the fifth fastest time in Group A during qualifying and later grabbed the third and final transfer spot through his heat race. "Smokey" was then slated to roll off from the inside of the eighth row in the 75-lap headliner, but inclement weather swooped into the area and ultimately pushed the A-Main back to Sunday, September 15. MADDEN LEADS EARLY IN ILLINI 100 FINALE

April 14, 2024 - Next up on the racing calendar for Chris Madden was the annual running of the 'Illini 100' on April 12-13 at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois. The World of Outlaws CASE Construction Late Model Series sanctioned the doubleheader weekend, which started on Friday with a $10,000 to win opener that drew 45 competitors. Chris finished sixth in his heat race and fourth in his B-Main. After relying on a series provisional to gain access into the 40-lap feature, "Smokey" worked his way past eleven competitors during the contest to salvage a twelfth place showing.

A whopping $20,000 first place prize was then on the line on Saturday evening at the 1/4-mile fairgrounds facility. Chris won his heat race in preliminary action and later drew the pole position for the 60-lap finale. After pacing the stellar field for the first twelve circuits, the Gray Court, South Carolina ace eventually wound up sixth at the checkers behind only race winner Bobby Pierce, Nick Hoffman, Tyler Erb, Kyle Bronson, and Brandon Sheppard. CHRIS MADDEN THIRD IN MARCH MADNESS!

March 4, 2024 - Following a hectic "Speedweeks," Chris Madden Racing (CMR) made the short trek to Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, South Carolina on Sunday, March 3 for the annual running of 'March Madness.' Chris Madden knocked down the fourth quickest time in Group A during the Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series (SAS) qualifying session to earn the inside of the fourth row starting spot in the 50-lap main event. With a whopping $20,000 paycheck up for grabs in the single-day throwdown, "Smokey" was able to drive past four competitors during the contest to land on the podium in third behind only race winner Trent Ivey and runner-up Donald McIntosh. MADDEN ON PODIUM IN $20,000 DEUCES WILD!

February 25, 2024 - The 2024 version of "Speedweeks" for the #44 team came to a close on February 23-24 at Golden Isles Speedway near Brunswick, Georgia. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series presided over the 'Deuces Wild' weekend with the High Limit Sprint Car Series and the double-dip for the Super Late Models was scheduled to start on Friday night with a $10,000 to win throwdown. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans and the contest was canceled due to inclement weather.

On Saturday evening at GIS, a total of 45 competitors signed into the pit area to do battle for the $20,000 first place prize money. Chris Madden earned Fast Time honors during the qualifying session prior to securing a victory in his heat race. After leading the first circuit of the 50-lapper from the pole position, Chris eventually rounded out the podium in third behind only race winner Mike Marlar and runner-up Brandon Sheppard! February 16, 2024 - The penultimate event of the 53rd Annual 'DIRTcar Nationals' was held earlier this evening at the sprawling Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida. The World of Outlaws CASE Construction Late Model Series spectacular drew a 47 car field to vie for the $16,000 top prize. Chris Madden clicked off the quickest time in Group A during qualifying before securing another heat race triumph. After drawing the fourth starting spot for the 40-lapper, Chris vaulted up to second in the running order to finish a close runner-up for the second straight night - this time behind only winner Devin Moran!

February 15, 2024 - The World of Outlaws CASE Construction Late Model Series roared into Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida tonight to preside over a $12,000 to win shootout. Chris Madden earned Fast Time honors during the qualifying session prior to winning his heat race in preliminary action. After rolling off from the outside of the front row in the 35-lap headliner and leading laps 20-34, Chris was unfortunately passed on the final turn and finished a close runner-up behind only victor Nick Hoffman.

February 14, 2024 - Tonight's DIRTcar Racing program at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida came with a twist, as every car in the pit area competed in one of the three Triple 20 features that each carried a $5,000 winner's check. Chris Madden suffered terminal motor woes early in the night and was forced to start shotgun on the field in his 20-lap main event. Chris unloaded a back-up car and made a few laps before settling for a sixteenth place effort. In the rain-postponed feature from Monday evening, "Smokey" started and finished tenth in the $7,000 to win affair.

February 13, 2024 - Night two of the 'DIRTcar Nationals' took place earlier this evening at Volusia Speedway Park, which is conveniently located close to Daytona Beach, and another $7,000 payday was up for grabs for the ground-pounding Super Late Models. Chris Madden laid down the second quickest time in his group during qualifying prior to securing a heat race triumph. After starting third on the grid in the 25-lapper, Chris slipped back a handful of spots to wind up eighth at the unfurling of the checkered flag.

February 12, 2024 - The 53rd edition of the 'DIRTcar Nationals' for the Super Late Models kicked off tonight at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida, as DIRTcar Racing presided over a $7,000 to win event at the 1/2-mile speedplant. Chris Madden stopped the clock second quickest in his group during the qualifying session prior to slipping to third in his stacked heat race. "Smokey" was then slated to start the 25-lap feature from the outside of the fifth row, but Mother Nature had other plans and heavy rain showers ultimately pushed the A-Main back to Wednesday evening.

CMR INVADES ALL-TECH FOR DOUBLE DIP

February 4, 2024 - The #44 CMR team was in the pit area at All-Tech Raceway in Ellisville, Florida on February 2-3 for a pair of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series contests. With a $12,000 top prize up for grabs in Friday's weekend lid lifter, Chris Madden ran second in heat race action and was battling for the second spot in the 50-lap feature until an incident sent him spinning. Chris was relegated to the tail end of the field and was forced to salvage a thirteenth place performance. On Saturday evening with a $15,000 payday on the line, "Smokey" once again finished second in his loaded heat race and thirteenth in the 50-lapper. January 27, 2024 - Following last night's wash out at Golden Isles Speedway, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series presided over the third and final event of the 'Super Bowl of Racing' tonight, which boasted a whopping $25,000 first place prize. Chris Madden stopped the clock sixth fastest in Group B during the qualifying session before securing a heat race triumph. January 26, 2024 - Tonight's racing action at Golden Isles Speedway has been rained out. The second leg of the 'Super Bowl of Racing' weekend at the Brunswick, Georgia-area oval, which was slated to pay $12,000 to the winner, will not be rescheduled.

January 25, 2024 - Night one of the annual 'Super Bowl of Racing' at Golden Isles Speedway near Brunswick, Georgia officially kicked off the 2024 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series season. A total of 51 Super Late Model competitors piled into the pit area today to vie for the $10,000 payday. Chris Madden knocked down the third quickest lap in Group A during qualifying prior to finishing second in heat race action. After rolling off from the inside of the sixth row in the 40-lap feature event, Chris was unfortunately the first retiree in the contest and was ultimately paid for a twenty-seventh place showing.

MADDEN STARTS YEAR IN SUNSHINE NATIONALS

January 20, 2024 - A $15,000 top prize was on the line tonight at Volusia Speedway Park in the third and final round of the season-opening 'Sunshine Nationals.' The World of Outlaws CASE Construction Late Model Series once again presided over the high-speed competition at the Barberville, Florida facility and a total of 56 Super Late Model drivers signed into the pit area. Chris Madden stopped the clock sixth fastest in Group A during time trials before securing a victory in his heat race. After drawing the fifth starting spot before the drop of the green flag in the 40-lap feature, Chris slipped back a few spots and ultimately placed ninth in the final finishing order. January 19, 2024 - Night two of the 'Sunshine Nationals' took place earlier this evening at Volusia Speedway Park and a $12,000 winner's check was up for grabs for the World of Outlaws CASE Construction Late Model Series competitors. Chris Madden posted the fifth quickest time in Group B during the qualifying session prior to running second in his heat race. After starting the 35-lap main event from the outside of the fifth row, Chris wound up finishing right where he started... in the tenth position.

January 18, 2024 - Tonight's World of Outlaws CASE Construction Late Model Series season opener at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida was unfortunately nixed after hot laps due to persistent rain showers. The $10,000 to win 'Sunshine Nationals' lid lifter will not be rescheduled, but Chris Madden will gun for the $12,000 top prize tomorrow night at the Daytona Beach-area speedplant.
